Welcome to ADHD-and-me.
I spent half a century being “normal”.
Then at 53, found out I have ADHD.
My brain just doesn’t work like other people’s.
This blog exists for two reasons. Firstly, late ADHD diagnoses are more common than people think. Secondly, some of the things that have happened to me over the last 30 years are just too silly to keep to myself.
Sometimes the most random thing can reduce me to tears of laughter often sending me to the nearest ladies room for hours to regain my composure, only for something to start me off again the moment I emerge.
With all the social grace of some who who has pressed “reply all” too many times, I’ve somehow published posts about:
How to Behave When Meeting a Famous Person on a Plane
How to Lose a Texan in Turkey
What I Learned From Throwing a Hissy at Dubai Airport
Why I Love Civil Engineering
Why Unintentional Misadventures Are Just That
How I Made Friends in Odd Places.
Why I Cant Do “Organised Fun”
If you’ve ever felt like everyone else got the memo and you didn’t – you’re in the right place.
Pull up a chair.
